About the position

Responsibilities
- Exhibit superior customer service and communication skills with all customers.
- Administer medications, immunizations, EKGs, and other patient services under physician supervision.
- Assist in simple office and minor surgical procedures as directed by the physician.
- Educate patients and families as directed by the physician.
- Perform venipuncture under the direction of a physician or advanced care practitioner.
- Contact patients to provide testing results and schedule necessary visits.
- Answer telephone inquiries and triage calls effectively.
- Manage all laboratory duties including drawing, spinning, and prepping blood for testing.
Requirements
- High School graduate, GED, or equivalent.
- Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain it within 180 days of employment.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED certification at time of hire or within 30 days.
Nice-to-haves
- 2+ years of relevant back office, medical assisting experience.
- Proven solid Phlebotomy skills.
