About the position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our internal medicine practice. This part-time position involves providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various medical settings. The role requires at least 2 years of experience and offers opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical tasks under the direction of healthcare professionals, including taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and administering medications
• Assist with patient examinations and procedures
• Provide medical administrative support, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing insurance documentation
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive measures
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean working environment

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Proficiency in basic life support techniques
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including geriatrics
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, such as urgent care or hospital settings

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with EMR systems (1 year preferred)
• Experience in taking vital signs (1 year preferred)
