We are seeking a proficient Medical Assistant (MA, CMA/RMA, CCMA) for a great opportunity in Edmond, OK. The role involves supporting healthcare providers by preparing patients for visits, taking vital signs, and managing patient records. The ideal candidate will have experience with insurance eligibility and follow-up, ensuring a smooth patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling appointments when necessary
- Room and prepare patients for the health care visit
- Take vitals and update patient history
- Perform blood draws and obtain blood samples
- Educate patients by providing medication information and instructions; answering questions
- Complete records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in a medical field preferred
- 1+ years of working in the healthcare field
- Experience with insurance eligibility and follow-up
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Superior customer service skills
- A high level of professionalism
