About the position

Geode Health is seeking a passionate Medical Assistant to join their rapidly growing team dedicated to providing exceptional outpatient mental health services. The role involves a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities, supporting healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care to patients. The ideal candidate will be motivated to improve the care experience and contribute to the mission of enhancing mental healthcare across the country.

Responsibilities

• Support providers in delivering high-quality healthcare to patients.
• Handle vital signs including weight, height, temperature, pulse, urinalysis, and respiration rate.
• Secure patient information and maintain confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records.
• Respond to verbal and electronic requests for information and assistance using proper policies and provider instructions.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Assist in crisis situations and understand emergency procedures.
• Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience working in a medical office and/or mental health (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
• Strong computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in a mental health setting (preferred).
• Some experience in healthcare settings (preferred).
• Knowledge of working in a clinical setting (preferred).
