The Medical Assistant at Ann Arbor Urgent Care & Walk-in Clinic plays a crucial role in providing quality healthcare services to the community. This part-time position involves assisting with patient care, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the clinic operates smoothly. Responsibilities

• Patient registration and management of electronic medical records (EMR)
• Insurance verification
• Performing vital signs and basic medical procedures
• Drawing blood and collecting urine specimens
• Conducting in-office tests such as FLU, strep, and pregnancy tests
• Administering injections and immunizations
• Preparing for suturing and ensuring sterilization of equipment

Requirements

• Must have a medical assistant certificate or diploma
• Must have BLS or CPR certification
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to work weekends and flexible shifts
• Reliable transportation for emergency coverage
• Ability to work up to five days a week

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with EMR systems (1 year preferred)
• Experience with vital signs (1 year preferred)
• High school diploma or GED
