About the position

North Coast Urology is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join their team in Oceanside, CA. The role involves both front and back office responsibilities in a urology setting, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, engaging, and capable of providing excellent patient care while managing various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Checking in/out patients
• Answering phone calls from patients while maintaining a polite and patient attitude
• Patient Scheduling
• Patient Rooming, taking vitals, entering information into an EMR (Electronic Health Record) and updating patients records
• Setting up and assisting with urologic procedures
• Lab work and urinalysis
• Cleaning patient rooms and preparing for next patient
• Autoclaving, tray setup and sterilization procedures
• Patient Education, and providing patients with appropriate support and guidance
• Charting: EMR knowledge and strong skills in the following areas: computer, telephone, communication and critical thinking

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Experience in a medical office setting
• Ability to take vital signs
• Strong computer skills
• Entry-level position
