About the position
We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team, responsible for performing routine administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the medical office. This role involves direct patient interaction and support for medical staff, contributing to the overall patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff such as vital signs, EKG's, injections, bone density, PFT
- Communicate with insurance companies for prior authorizations
- Call patients with lab/test results
- Prepare medication refills
- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
- Front office responsibilities
Requirements
- Previous 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant
- Previous experience using an EMR
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills
- MA Certification preferred
