About the position
We are seeking a motivated and cheerful Medical Assistant to join our internal medicine practice in Dearborn. This role involves providing essential medical care services, operating medical equipment, and handling administrative tasks to support patient care and practice operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic medical care services to patients, including reviewing patients' history and taking vital signs.
- Operate simple medical equipment such as EKG and PFT.
- Respond to patients' phone calls, including making appointments, prescription refills, and referrals.
- Perform various clerical and administrative duties to support the practice.
Requirements
- Experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to use computer applications.
- Understanding of medical insurance coverage and familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to multi-task effectively.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with EPIC EMR is highly desirable.
