Responsibilities

  • Assists with treatments ordered by the provider as supervised by a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
  • Performs select clinical duties including interviewing patients and measuring vital signs.
  • Records information on patients' charts accurately.
  • Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • Handles basic clerical duties such as answering phones and maintaining records.
  • Manages materials by ordering and stocking supplies as needed.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly environment in the clinical setting.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
  • For Wisconsin ONLY: High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience and graduate of an accredited school of medical assisting.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • No prior experience required.
