About the position

Spring Endocrinology in Fresno, California is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the efficient operation of the medical office. This role involves assisting providers and patients with various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication, both over the phone and in person. The position can be part-time or full-time, requiring 30-40 hours of work per week, including occasional Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone
• Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues
• Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling
• Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records
• Verifying financial records and collecting patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims
• Escorting patients to exam rooms and obtaining all vital signs
• Notifying providers of patient arrival
• Responsible for exam room cleanliness, stocking, and expiring supplies
• Communicating in a friendly and professional manner to others
• Providing excellent service/support to all patients, employees, and outside contacts.
