About the position
The Medical Assistant at Forefront Dermatology plays a crucial role in supporting dermatologists during patient visits, ensuring a friendly and efficient environment. This full-time position requires working in the Holly Springs clinic and involves various responsibilities, including patient care and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients and documenting all vital information
- Scribing information for the dermatologist
- Providing post-op wound care to patients
- Drawing blood and performing suture removal
- Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as surgical photographs, biopsies, excisions, and more.
Requirements
- Minimum post high-school education in a medical support field: Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse
- 1-2 years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
- Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team
