The Certified Medical Assistant at Willow Creek Women's Clinic plays a vital role in delivering quality patient care in a clinic environment. This position involves assisting physicians with direct patient care, ensuring excellent customer service, and collaborating with healthcare teams to meet the needs of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician in providing direct patient care and health teaching tailored to the specific needs of patients.
• Deliver quality care through excellent customer service and a team-centered approach.
• Collaborate with the physician and nursing staff regarding holistic patient care.
• Proficiently handle order entry tasks.
• Provide clerical and patient-related support in record keeping, scheduling, and office procedures.
• Verify patient demographics and maintain accurate patient records.
• File and retain patient records appropriately.
• Verify physician orders and ensure compliance.
• Schedule patients for appointments and referrals efficiently.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Handle patient billing and payment processes.
• Greet and assist patients upon arrival.
• Maintain office supplies and inventory.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in direct patient care.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Personnel or other governing body is required.
• BLS / CPR certification is mandatory.
• Excellent PC skills are necessary.
• Exceptional communication skills, critical thinking skills, and independent decision-making skills are essential.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in phlebotomy and laboratory testing/specimen preparation is preferred.
