Responsibilities
- Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
- Interview patients and measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
- Record information on patients' charts accurately.
- Draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.
- Prepare treatment rooms for the examination of patients.
- Perform a variety of tasks as required, relying on limited experience and judgment to accomplish goals.
Requirements
- High school diploma and completion of a Medical Assistant Program required.
- 0-2 years of experience in a related field.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
