About the position
The Medical Biller at Hematology Oncology Associates of CNY is responsible for managing all aspects of medical billing, including billing insurance, processing payments, and handling patient inquiries. Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of medical billing.
- Manage administrative responsibilities of billing insurance and processing payments.
- Analyze payments and identify trends for system modifications.
- Resolve billing and patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Train staff as needed to support departmental functions.
- Handle correspondence with patients and insurance carriers promptly.
- Participate in group discussions, conferences, seminars, and meetings as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of medical billing experience.
- Knowledge of medical insurance industry, laws, and regulations.
- Skill in identifying and investigating problems and correcting errors.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
