About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of billing processes and the management of medical records. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to navigate various billing software. The Medical Biller will work closely with healthcare providers to facilitate efficient billing and collections, ensuring that all claims are processed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify patient information for accuracy before billing.
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for payment.
• Utilize coding systems such as ICD-10 and DRG to ensure proper billing.
• Maintain organized medical records and documentation for all billing activities.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies in billing.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
• Assist in training new staff on medical billing procedures as needed.

Requirements

• Bilingual Spanish preferred
• 2 years of experience with ICD-10
• Experience in medical billing processes and systems
• Strong knowledge of medical coding systems, including ICD-10 and DRG
• Proficient understanding of medical terminology and medical records management
• Familiarity with medical office operations and procedures
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients
• Problem-solving skills to address billing issues efficiently
• Knowledge of medical collection practices is a plus.
