About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate coding, and facilitating collections for medical services rendered. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to navigate medical records efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Review and process patient billing information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Utilize medical coding systems such as ICD-10, DRG, and ICD-9 to ensure proper billing practices.
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on outstanding claims.
• Conduct medical collection activities while maintaining a professional demeanor with patients and insurance representatives.
• Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies in billing or coding.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.

Requirements

• Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical coding principles.
• Experience with medical collection processes is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in a medical office setting is an advantage.
