About the position

The Medical Call Center/Receptionist Specialist plays a crucial role in a prestigious dermatology and vein practice, providing exceptional support to patients through effective communication and scheduling. This position involves managing multiple phone lines, answering patient inquiries, and performing receptionist tasks, all within a positive and professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Answering new and existing patient calls to schedule appointments and address inquiries.
  • Managing multiple phone lines effectively.
  • Performing receptionist roles and tasks as needed.
  • Verifying insurance information.
  • Obtaining prior authorization for various medical procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a medical call center specialist or medical receptionist is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to maintain a positive demeanor and provide high-quality support to patients.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with scheduling, insurance eligibility, prior authorization, and referrals is highly preferred.
