About the position

The Medical Case Manager EI (Remote) position at Managed Care Advisors involves providing high-quality care and support to workers with occupational injuries and illnesses. The role focuses on developing and implementing case management plans, facilitating communication among involved parties, and ensuring timely treatment and recovery for federal workers. This position allows for independent work from a home office while being part of a supportive nationwide team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a case management plan for each injured worker throughout their recovery stages.
  • Track patient improvement goals in a database.
  • Implement integrated medical disability case management services to prevent or minimize disabilities.
  • Serve as a communication link between all parties involved in medical disability cases.
  • Support federal workers with diagnoses related to occupational injuries and illnesses.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted State Registered Nursing License
  • 3-5 years of related clinical experience in medical case management, workers' compensation, or occupational health
  • 3+ years of case management experience
  • Attention to detail and commitment to completing tasks
  • Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills via phone, email, text, and documentation
  • Reliable high-speed internet service in a home office
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to pass a preliminary credit and background check prior to hiring

Nice-to-haves

  • National Certification in case management or related field (to be obtained within 12 months of hire)
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and computer savvy
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Well organized and efficient
