Responsibilities
- Review and process healthcare claims submitted by providers.
- Verify medical claims information and maintain compliance with regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare providers and patients.
- Review and evaluate medical claims for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to processing claims.
- Enter medical claim information into the billing system and monitor claim status.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year of experience in medical terminology.
- Experience in revenue cycle management and medical collections.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
Nice-to-haves
- One year of healthcare call center experience.
- Experience with benefit verification and prior authorization.
- Familiarity with medical benefits, medical insurance, and prescriptions.
- Knowledge of co-pay, co-insurance, deductible, and patient assistance programs.
