This position focuses on converting a medical procedure, diagnosis, or symptom into specific codes to claims for reimbursement. These claims will be specific to therapy services from our STARS specialty clinics.
Requirements
- Twelve months' experience in medical coding or working with patient billing and receivables.
- Intermediate computer skills with an emphasis on Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office programs.
- Must be able to utilize calculator, phones, fax machine and copier. Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.
- Hold certification (or ability to obtain within one year) through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
