About the position

The Medical Coding Product and Support Manager is a pivotal role within MedCerts, focusing on the management of product, support, and student outcomes related to Billing and Coding programs. This position is 100% remote and involves a dual focus: 50% on student support to ensure certification success and job readiness, and 50% on product development, contributing to curriculum design and enhancement. The manager will serve as a subject matter expert, guiding students and collaborating with the Product Development Team to optimize course delivery and content.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with students to provide guidance and support for certification success.
  • Evaluate student performance data and recommend course enhancements.
  • Identify resources to help students complete their programs and obtain certification.
  • Contribute to curriculum design and development for Medical Billing and Coding courses.
  • Write scripts and storyboards for Instructor-Led videos and assessments.
  • Host office hours and content review sessions with students.
  • Collaborate with certification bodies to ensure curriculum alignment with industry standards.
  • Create supplemental learning resources to address deficiencies in training materials.
  • Monitor course outcomes and develop improvement roadmaps.
  • Assist in the research and submission of materials for State programmatic approval.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-based (CCS-P) certification in good standing.
  • Experience in teaching, instructional support, or curriculum development related to Coding.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the industry and various certification and regulatory agencies in Medical Billing/Coding.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to Quality Assurance.
  • High comfort level with technology for communication and task completion.
  • Passion for learning and obtaining new certifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Additional certifications beyond CPC/CCS-P, such as CBCS.
  • Experience with eLearning content development.
