About the position

The Medical Coding Product and Support Manager is a key cross-functional role within the Product Development and Student Success teams at MedCerts. This position focuses on managing product, support, and student outcomes related to Medical Billing and Coding programs. The role is split between providing support to students to ensure their certification success and contributing to the curriculum design and enhancement of courses. The position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that students are adequately prepared for certification and career readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with students to answer questions and provide guidance for certification success.
  • Evaluate student performance data and recommend course enhancements to bridge knowledge gaps.
  • Identify resources to help students complete their programs and obtain certification.
  • Contribute to curriculum design and development for Medical Billing and Coding courses.
  • Write scripts and storyboards for Instructor-Led videos and voiceover elements.
  • Prepare assessment questions with answers and rationale for courses.
  • Serve as an Instructor and maintain required credentials in Billing/Coding.
  • Guide future programming and develop a product roadmap for Medical Billing and Coding opportunities.
  • Analyze market data and job analysis to align course objectives with industry needs.
  • Review and update course content based on industry changes and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-based (CCS-P) certification in good standing.
  • Experience in teaching, instructional support, or curriculum development related to Coding.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Medical Billing/Coding industry and certification pathways.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to Quality Assurance.
  • Comfortable with technology for communication and task completion.
  • Passion for learning and obtaining new certifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Additional certifications such as CBCS (through the NHA) are preferred.
