About the position

The Medical Content Writer at The France Foundation is responsible for creating and managing medical content for continuing medical education activities aimed at improving healthcare and patient outcomes. This role involves collaboration with internal teams and external experts to ensure clinical accuracy and high-quality educational materials that adhere to accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, review, and update content for various therapeutic areas and formats.
  • Facilitate education planning and content development with subject matter experts.
  • Stay updated on assigned therapeutic areas and assimilate relevant clinical data.
  • Provide medical content overviews to internal staff and support content at meetings and teleconferences.
  • Audit content at selected live meetings to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Apply adult learning principles to enhance knowledge and performance of learners.
  • Assist in planning education that achieves high-level outcomes in clinical practice.
  • Ensure independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in educational content.
  • Verify that scientific research used in educational activities meets accepted standards.
  • Participate in the Outcomes Committee to further educational outcomes design and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with faculty, collaborators, and clients.
  • Ensure clear and concise communication of key information to appropriate team members.
  • Promote teamwork and direct communication with co-workers.
  • Assist with abstract submissions and educational outcomes publications.
  • Support educational grant development as needed and ensure timelines are met.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of medical content development/writing or related experience.
  • Advanced degree in clinical or biological sciences preferred.
  • Understanding of performance and quality improvement-based continuing education.
  • Demonstrated independence, self-motivation, and solution-oriented skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality work.
  • Familiarity with AI software and ability to utilize it for medical content development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in accredited medical education development.
  • Previous work in a healthcare-related field.
