Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Execute route driving efficiently while adhering to schedules and delivery timelines.
- Load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary, managing packages of varying weights and sizes.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Courier or Delivery Driver is preferred.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience in route driving, warehouse operations, or commercial driving is beneficial.
- Ability to navigate using maps or GPS systems effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing multiple deliveries.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
