About the position

The Medical Data Entry Clerk position at Robert Half involves a short-term contract role focused on critical data migration tasks within the non-profit sector. The primary responsibility is to accurately transfer patient records and treatment plans into a new system while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Input patient records, treatment plans, and care details into the new data system, emphasizing accuracy.
• Confirm the precision of data to guarantee complete and error-free client records.
• Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information in line with healthcare regulations.
• Work alongside medical staff and administration to facilitate a smooth data migration process.
• Identify and rectify any inconsistencies in data or escalate issues for resolution.
• Utilize various software and technology tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Allscripts, Care Compass, Cerner Technologies, among others to perform tasks efficiently.
• Address all incoming queries and provide adequate responses, maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Carry out administrative tasks such as billing functions, claim administration, and clinical trial operations as needed.
• Ensure that all tasks are completed within the specified timeline.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or related field.
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with Allscripts software.
• Familiarity with Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA).
• Ability to use Care Compass software.
• Experience in working with Cerner Technologies.
• Expertise in answering inbound calls.
• Knowledge of billing functions.
• Ability to create charts and graphs.
• Experience in claim administration.
• Knowledge of clinical trial operations.
