About the position

The Medical Delivery Technician is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of medical goods to various locations. This part-time role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical demands associated with moving and delivering products. The technician will operate delivery vehicles, manage delivery logs, and assist in warehouse operations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload products efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
  • Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization of goods.

Requirements

  • Experience in moving, commercial driving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
  • Proficient in loading and unloading techniques for various types of cargo.
  • Strong driving skills with a valid driver's license; experience as a delivery driver or courier is a plus.
  • Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with local routes and traffic regulations is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing deliveries.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
