About the position

The Associate Territory Account Manager at Tactile Medical is a pivotal role responsible for the sales and promotion of medical devices specifically designed for Lymphedema patients. This position involves educating healthcare professionals, including physicians and clinicians, as well as patients about the benefits and functionalities of Tactile Medical's products, particularly the Flexitouch System. The role requires a consultative sales approach, where the Associate Territory Account Manager will engage in full-cycle sales activities, which include prospecting, scheduling meetings, conducting product demonstrations, and following up with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. In this role, the Associate Territory Account Manager will work closely with healthcare providers to increase awareness of the products and services offered by Tactile Medical. This includes providing in-home demonstrations of the devices to patients, assisting them with inquiries, and ensuring they understand how to use the products effectively. The position also involves collaborating with the Territory Account Manager to develop and implement sales strategies aimed at exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Additionally, the Associate will provide customer support through training and education on disease states, treatment protocols, and reimbursement requirements, all while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales, particularly in the medical device field, and will be adept at building relationships with healthcare professionals and patients alike. This role is essential in driving the success of Tactile Medical's mission to improve the quality of life for individuals suffering from Lymphedema through effective product education and sales.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts full-cycle consultative sales including prospecting, scheduling and attending meetings, product demonstrations, in-services, closing, and follow-up.
  • Works with physicians, therapists, and other clinicians to increase awareness and educate on the Flexitouch System and other products and services offered by Tactile Medical.
  • Provides in-home product demonstrations on devices for patients and assists them with questions.
  • Assists the Territory Account Manager with sales strategies and execution to surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Provides customer support through training and education in disease state, treatment protocols, reimbursement requirements, etc.
  • Ensures compliance with all appropriate regulatory requirements, including HIPAA.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combined education and work experience (4 years).
  • 1+ years of outside sales/inside sales experience OR 2+ years of patient-facing clinical experience OR 1+ years of Tactile Medical patient-facing or sales support work experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
  • Strong sales closing experience and mentality, including persuasiveness, assertiveness, and persistence.
  • Resourceful and a self-starter.
  • Ability to travel/drive within the territory as well as outside of the territory for conferences, trainings, etc.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • Outside sales experience with in-person product demonstrations.
  • Clinical experience working directly with lymphedema patients such as a Nurse, CLT, PTA, PT, OT, OTA, etc.
  • Demonstrated success interacting with Tactile Medical patients, customers, and clinicians.
