About the position
The Medical Device Software Test Engineer will be responsible for the formal verification and validation of complex medical devices in compliance with FDA regulations. This role involves collaborating with an engineering team to design and execute test procedures in both virtual and lab environments, ensuring the quality and reliability of medical software products.
Responsibilities
- Develop requirements based manual and automated test procedures using Quality Center.
- Execute test procedures both in a virtual and lab environment.
- Compile and analyze test results.
- Assess requirements for testability and determine best test approach.
- Document and manage system software defects using Quality Center.
- Participate in regular agile sprint scheduling meetings and team meetings.
- Ability to work in a BL2 lab environment.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related discipline required.
- Experience in manual testing of medical devices and embedded software.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Agile methodology experience.
- Familiarity with Jira and Quality Center.
- Experience with Virtual Box and UNIX.
