About the position

The Medical Director will serve as a key executive in overseeing the clinical operations of Summit Medical Consultants, guiding clinicians in providing safe and effective medical services across various healthcare settings. This role involves clinical education, compliance with health regulations, and fostering professional relationships within the healthcare community.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical guidance to physicians and APPs, ensuring compliance and initiating quality improvement programs.
• Represent the Practice in meetings and negotiations with facility and hospital administrators, presenting performance metrics.
• Support strategic and operational plans in partnership with the Practice's administration and staff.
• Manage day-to-day clinical operations and oversee clinical improvement projects.
• Direct market development efforts to increase physician referrals and case volume.
• Interpret and evaluate research data for strategic decision-making.
• Manage the internal quality review program to ensure compliance with best practices.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Healthcare Management or related field preferred.
• Clinical Licensure and experience are a bonus.
• Five years of relevant experience, with at least two years in program development and supervision.
• Demonstrated leadership and community development experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in skilled nursing, long term care, inpatient rehabilitation, and assisted living facilities.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for clinical practice in these settings.
• Medical Directorship experience in skilled nursing.
