The Medical Director position at Theoria Medical involves overseeing skilled nursing facilities (SNF) while participating in administrative and quality initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Serve as medical director for skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and participate in administrative and quality initiatives.
  • Attend and participate in monthly quality assurance and process improvement meetings.
  • Provide guidance to facility staff and review/revise clinical guidelines as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and train facility staff.
  • Supervise clinical staff at the facility.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage day-to-day resident care.
  • Diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses and chronic diseases.
  • Complete provider documentation in Theoria's proprietary electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Participate in Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care, RPM, and other medical quality initiatives.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with appropriate board certification.
  • Experience in a medical director role or similar leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) or post-acute care settings.
  • Familiarity with Theoria's proprietary EHR system, ChartEasy™.
