About the position

The Medical Director serves as the chief clinician at the Center, responsible for delivering quality medical care to patients and overseeing clinical operations. This role involves both direct patient care and administrative responsibilities, ensuring compliance with medical standards and policies while leading a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical services and maintains clinical expertise.
• Delivers direct primary care services for at least 16 hours per week.
• Examines, diagnoses, treats, and refers patients as necessary.
• Prescribes medications and treatment regimens based on assessed medical conditions.
• Maintains complete health records in accordance with established policies.
• Prepares and submits monthly reports to the Board of Directors and CEO.
• Designs and implements Medical Department policies and procedures.
• Assists in preparing the Medical Department's operating budget.
• Participates in grant applications and develops medical healthcare plans.
• Supervises and mentors clinical support staff and students.
• Participates in Compliance and Performance Improvement activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years clinical experience.
• Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in an appropriate medical specialty.
• Current unrestricted license from the Texas Medical Board to practice as a physician in Texas.
• Board Certification required.
• Current CPR certification for Healthcare Professionals.
