About the position

The Medical Equipment (DME) Service Technician/Driver position at AdvaCare Systems involves the delivery, setup, and troubleshooting of durable medical equipment for hospice organizations and skilled-nursing facilities. The role requires safe operation of a company-owned vehicle and effective communication with patients and caregivers, ensuring a high level of service and care during equipment delivery and installation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and install Medical Equipment in a safe and timely manner.
• Safely operate a company-owned 16' Box Truck.
• Instruct patients, family members, and caregivers on equipment functions while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Perform minor repairs and equipment troubleshooting while in the field.
• Thoroughly and accurately complete all orders on a proprietary web-based inventory management system.

Requirements

• High School Degree or G.E.D.
• 1+ years of Delivery and/or Healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to lift an average of 50 pounds and perform strenuous work.
• Basic phone/computer skills.
• Ability to receive and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Card.
• Clean driving record and criminal background.
