About the position

The Medical Front Desk Receptionist at the Rheumatology Center of New Jersey is responsible for managing the front desk operations in a busy rheumatology practice. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. The receptionist will work across multiple office locations and will play a key role in ensuring smooth patient flow and administrative efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Answer, screen and forward incoming calls
  • Check in patients, verify and update patient account information
  • Scan in documents into EMR system
  • Schedule appointments
  • Collect and post patient co-pays/balances and close out at the end of the day
  • Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
  • Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes
  • Help with administrative work
  • Help with prior authorizations if needed

Requirements
