About the position

At Edison Eye Care, our goal is to offer each patient the best eye exam they have ever received. We achieve this goal by providing a thorough eye exam and truly caring for each patient as an individual. We also know our practice is only as good as our team. As our team grows, we are seeking to add a member who will ensure that each patient feels welcomed and well cared for from the time they first step into our practice. The vibe of Edison Eye Care is 1920's with high-end finishes and attention to detail. All of our equipment is new and state-of-the-art. The Medical Front Desk/Receptionist will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our practice. This position involves greeting patients as they enter, answering calls to set appointments, scheduling referrals, and addressing any questions patients may have. The receptionist will also be responsible for signing patients in, ensuring that all intake paperwork and consents are completed, and managing faxes. Additionally, the role includes responding to support emails and texts, pulling insurance information, verifying coverage, assisting patients with frame selections when the optical department is busy, and accepting and recording payments. We are looking for someone who embodies our commitment to patient care and can contribute to a positive atmosphere in our practice. This position is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients as they enter the practice.
  • Answer calls to set appointments, schedule referrals, and answer questions.

Requirements
