About the position

The Patient Services Representative role is essential for providing superior patient care in a rapidly growing family-owned company specializing in prosthetics and orthotics. This position involves assisting patients with inquiries, coordinating chart updates, and ensuring accurate billing processes while maintaining a professional office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients over the phone with inquiries and appointments
  • Coordinate patient chart updates with practitioners and billing
  • Prepare and organize all necessary documents for billing
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient charts
  • Handle explanation of benefits (EOBs), insurance verifications, and preauthorizations
  • Maintain a professional and friendly office environment

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or Patient Services Coordinator/Representative
  • Strong understanding of EOBs, preauthorizations, and insurance verifications
  • Proficiency in EMRs and charting Software

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Navinet, Pear, Noridian, Availity, Epic, Nymbl, and United Healthcare is beneficial.
