About The Position

The Medical Imaging Patient Transporter plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transport of patients within the medical facility. This part-time position involves working under the supervision of the Imaging Technologist to facilitate patient movement to and from various hospital locations, while adhering to safety and infection control protocols.

Requirements

• High School graduate
• Current BLS certification
• Excellent and professional communication skills
• One year experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Possess physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to stoop, lift, stand, and walk without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients from patient care areas using proper lifting and transfer techniques.
• Provides transport by cart or wheelchair to and from the Emergency Department, Medical Surgical Unit, or other hospital locations.
• Verifies patient identity prior to transport.
• Cleans carts and wheelchairs after each use.
• Cleans imaging exam room and changes linens after each patient; restocks as needed.
• Assists technologist as needed in the exam suite.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
