About the position

The Operations Instructor or Sr Ops Training Instructor role at Constellation focuses on enhancing plant-specific nuclear licensed operations training programs. The position requires mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge to analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate, and modify training programs. The role aims to drive performance improvement through effective training and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge in training program assignments.
• Coordinates and conducts performance-based licensed or non-licensed training programs.
• Maintains training programs current with information from INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports and other regulatory updates.
• Prepares trainee examinations and conducts evaluations in various training environments.
• Conducts counseling sessions for trainees and develops individualized training programs.
• Supports business initiatives, project management, and special projects related to training.
• Supervises the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in science/engineering or education/training with 4 years related industry experience, or 6 years of related industry experience, or a Bachelor's degree in education/training with 2 years teaching experience for Ops Instructor.
• Previous or current senior reactor operator license or previous Reactor Operator with 4 years of related industry experience for Sr Ops Training Instructor.
• Bachelor's degree in science/engineering or education/training with 6 years of commercial nuclear power plant training experience for Ops Instructor.
• SRO Certification with 4 years of related industry experience and 6 months of proven teaching experience for Sr Ops Training Instructor.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
