Responsibilities

  • Manage patient accounts receivable and billing processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely medical billing and collections.
  • Review clinical documents received from referral sources.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their accounts.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for documentation and reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of medical insurance accounts receivable/billing experience required (2+ years preferred).
  • Prior billing experience within the DME medical field preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology, including HCPC codes and ICD-10.
  • Strong typing skills (minimum 50 WPM).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior patient collections experience.
  • Experience in the orthopedic medical field.
