Requirements
- Two years of experience interpreting for people with limited English proficiency, in official or unofficial capacity.
- Experience can include medical, legal, or business translation.
- High school diploma required; some college preferred.
- Completion of Area Health Education Center Medical Interpreter Training Program course or equivalent.
- CMI or CHI certification preferred.
- Must have a telephone and reliable transportation.
- Ability to be on-call and understand the role and boundaries of an interpreter.
- Strict adherence to confidentiality policy.
