Responsibilities

• Function as a professional responsible for the performance of clinical laboratory testing related to patient care and diagnosis.
• Perform routine and special laboratory procedures, including quality control and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct minor equipment repairs and manage inventory control.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Engage in laboratory education, new employee training, and proficiency testing as assigned.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technician Studies or a related field.
• Current knowledge of clinical laboratory techniques and principles.
• Medical Laboratory Scientist Certification or equivalent certification (e.g., M(ASCP), H(ASCP), C(ASCP)).
• Clinical laboratory experience, preferably as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous clinical laboratory experience in a similar role.
• Certification in a specific area of clinical laboratory science.
