About the position
The Medical Lab Scientist position at Children's Mercy Hospital is responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests accurately and in a timely manner. This role requires professional judgment to assess the appropriateness of test orders and the validity of test results, ensuring effective communication with physicians. Responsibilities
- Performs highly complex laboratory procedures in a variety of laboratory sections with minimum supervision
- Performs continuous quality assurance activities
- Maintains general operations of the laboratory
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-2 years of experience, which may include MLS clinical rotations as 1 year of experience
- Preferred Clinical Laboratory experience or MT(ASCP) eligible
- Preferred MT(AMT) eligible
- Preferred MLS (ASCP/ASCPi) eligible
- Preferred MT (AAB) eligible
- Certification in a Lab Specialty Preferred
