Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of routine and complex laboratory testing on biological substances.
- Support the Medical Laboratory Scientist I position and other lab roles.
- Utilize independent judgment to carry out laboratory assignments.
- Ensure accurate and timely results for laboratory tests to support patient care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university with courses in biological science, chemistry, and mathematics.
- Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) program.
- 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) is required.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification from a nationally recognized agency is required.
Nice-to-haves
- 5 years total Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) experience is preferred.
- American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification or acceptable individual certification(s) in section(s) of assignment is preferred.
