About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests and analyses to provide accurate and timely results that aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. You will work with various laboratory equipment and technologies, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests and procedures, including immunoassays, DNA isolation, and specimen collection processing.
• Utilize laboratory information management systems to manage data effectively and maintain accurate records.
• Apply aseptic techniques in all laboratory procedures to prevent contamination.
• Interpret test results and communicate findings to healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with medical terminology and anatomy knowledge in all reporting.
• Maintain laboratory equipment by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring proper functioning.
• Participate in quality control and assurance programs to uphold laboratory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field.
• Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or equivalent is preferred.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques and procedures relevant to clinical testing.
• Strong understanding of data management practices within a laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and relevant regulatory standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
