About the position

The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLT, MLS) plays a crucial role in performing, interpreting, and correlating clinical laboratory tests to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating illnesses and diseases. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and adherence to established protocols to ensure accurate results and maintain a safe laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory tests following established protocols.
• Interpret and correlate test results to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
• Utilize complex problem-solving skills to resolve clinical and instrument issues.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe laboratory environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university with 16 semester hours in biology (including microbiology) and 16 semester hours in chemistry (including organic or biochemistry).
• ASCP or equivalent categorical/generalist certification (to be obtained within 90 days of employment).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).
• Good leadership abilities.
• Ability to adopt H3W Leadership behaviors.
