Texas Oncology is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join their team in Wichita Falls, TX. Responsibilities
- Perform specimen analysis for Chemistry, Hematology, and Immunology specimens.
- Assist with phlebotomy and specimen collection from patients.
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, performing regular maintenance as needed.
- Adhere to quality control policies and document all QC activities.
- Participate in proficiency testing and prepare peripheral blood smears.
- Process specimens for send-out testing and maintain proper documentation.
- Train employees in laboratory procedures and act as a resource for laboratory science information.
- Oversee daily laboratory activities in the absence of a supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related healthcare field.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist Certification.
- Medical Technology ASCP Certification.
- For Level 2: Minimum of three years of experience required.
- For Senior Level: Minimum of five years of experience required.
