About the position

The Medical Laboratory Technician at Centennial Hills Hospital is responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and the subsequent reporting of results according to established laboratory protocols and procedures. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory tests, which are essential for patient diagnosis and treatment. The technician will act as a resource for Lab Assistants and will support Medical Technologists and Lead Medical Technologists as required. The position requires minimal to moderate supervision, depending on the tasks at hand, and a General Supervisor must be on site during operations. The technician will be expected to demonstrate a high level of competency in various laboratory modalities, ensuring that all tests are performed accurately and efficiently. This includes maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols, and participating in quality control measures. The role also involves continuous education and training to stay updated with the latest laboratory practices and technologies. Candidates must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Responsibilities

  • Analyze laboratory specimens and report results according to laboratory protocols and procedures.

Requirements

  • MLT(ASCP) or equivalent as defined by CLIA'88.
  • 2 years experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
  • General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities.
  • Nevada State License as Medical Laboratory Technician; ASCP or equivalent board registration preferred upon hire.
  • New graduates must obtain a Nevada State provisional license prior to hire and a permanent license upon expiration.
