U.S. Got People is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician to join the team at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Liberty, NC. The role involves performing a variety of clinical laboratory tests, ensuring specimen suitability, and maintaining laboratory instruments. The technician will also assist in training staff and students, and contribute to blood donor operations. Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of clinical laboratory tests in various sections including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank.
• Determine the suitability of specimens for analysis and prepare them accordingly.
• Calibrate, standardize, adjust, and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Conduct quality control procedures on equipment and maintain proper records.
• Prepare biological waste for proper disposal and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Perform donor screening, collecting, processing, testing, labeling, storing, and distribution of blood components for transfusion.
• Assist in training donor center staff and medical laboratory technician students.
• Perform apheresis platelet donations and manage donor registration and medical interviews.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited medical laboratory technician training program.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by ASCP, AMT, or a comparable agency.
• 1 year of experience as a Clinical or Medical Laboratory Technician.
• BLS Certification through American Heart Association or Red Cross.
