In this part-time role as a Medical Office Admin at Hanger, Inc., you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to patients, fellow employees, and referral sources. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating and managing front office activities to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in administrative roles, showcasing excellent computer proficiency and customer service skills. You will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments, validating insurance and payment authorizations, inputting claims, processing payments, conducting account collections, performing billing research, and responding to telephone inquiries. This position requires a high level of organization and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will also be tasked with creating new patient charts and maintaining accurate patient records, which includes scanning and filing documents to ensure all information is complete and accurate. Managing incoming phone calls and obtaining insurance authorizations will be part of your daily duties, along with providing financial counseling for patients and posting over-the-counter payments. Daily document research on an electronic health/medical record system will also be a key responsibility, ensuring that all patient information is up-to-date and accessible.
