About the position
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing quality patient care and supporting medical staff in a clinical setting. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about healthcare and eager to positively impact patients' lives.
Responsibilities
- Checking patients in the examination room, taking and recording vitals, including BP, Weight, Pulse and Temperature.
- Provide exceptional patient service by assisting with check-in, scheduling appointments, and answering inquiries.
- Prepare examination rooms for procedures.
- Conduct patient intake interviews, record medical histories, and update patient information.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations.
- Assist front office team as necessary in scheduling patients, confirming appointments, follow up of patient's messages and communication to Physician.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and coding practices.
- Strong knowledge of patient care techniques and infection control protocols.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical billing software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Spanish.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
