About the position

Under general supervision, the Medical Office Billing Clerk-Intermediate is responsible for performing a combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary insurance data for use in preparing statements to patients' insurance carriers. This role involves preparing notices to patients regarding the amounts expected (or received) from insurance and the amounts expected from patients. The position requires attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive financial information, ensuring that all billing processes comply with relevant regulations and standards. The clerk will also assist in resolving any discrepancies related to billing and insurance claims, working closely with both patients and insurance providers to facilitate timely payments. This role is essential in maintaining the financial health of the medical office and ensuring that patients receive clear and accurate information regarding their billing status.

Responsibilities

Requirements
